Carnival in Venice

DAY 1:
Departure at 7:00 p.m. from Wiesbaden, Hainerberg PX military bus stop; 7:00 p.m. from Kaiserslautern P+R parking lot at Daenner Platz (near Kleber Kaserne); 8:15 pm from Heidelberg PHV, P+R parking lot (near new commissary); 10:00 pm from Böblingen Panzerkaserne, PX parking lot. Overnight travel via Innsbruck, Bozen to Venice.

DAY 2:
After breakfast en route (not included) we arrive in the early morning in the lagoon of Venice where we board our private water-boat and sail to the PIAZZA SAN MARCO. Here we start with a walking orientation tour to see the DUCAL PALACE, the ancient prison of Venice with the BRIDGE OF SIGHS, the BASILICA SAN MARCO and the CAMPANILE all gathered on the popular Piazza San Marco. Venetian glass blowers performing their ancient art will be another highlight after this sightseeing tour. The afternoon is free for own activities. Enjoy the PARADE OF MASQUERADES in the streets of Venice. It is a must to have a camera here. Hundreds of different costumes are presented by people who are coming from all over the world. Have fun and share the spirit of the CARNE VALE with the other visitors and the Venetians. Probably you like to join a romantic GONDOLA RIDE on the canals of Venice. Evening departure by boat back to the bus parking lot and to our hotel.

DAY 3:
After buffet breakfast in the hotel (included) and check out we depart for VERONA. We will visit a house where a very tragic and romantic love story took place. It is the house of the CAPULETTI FAMILY and from their balcony ROMEO serenaded JULIET. Also we see one of the largest AMPHITHEATERS ever built by the Romans. In the afternoon, after lunch (not included) we depart for Germany. Late evening arrival at points of origin.
