Itinerary (subject to change)
DAY 1:
Morning departure from Böblingen, Panzerkaserne PX parking lot at 05:00 am. Departure from Heidelberg PHV, P+R parking lot (outside base, near new commissary) at 06:45 am. Departure from Wiesbaden Hainerberg, millitary bus stop (Washington street) at 06:45 am. Departure from Kaiserslautern, Daennerplatz P+R parking lot at 08:00 am. We then start with our voyage via Saarbrücken, Metz, Reims to Paris. After a mid-morning stop for brunch we will arrive in Paris in the afternoon where we check into our hotel. After a chance to freshen up we will discover Paris on our sightseeing tour (included). See the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees, the Elysee Palace, the Pantheon, the Opera, the Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Musée d’Orsay, the Dome des Invalides and, of course, the Eiffel tower. The tour will end at Montmatre, the artists’ quarter where we drive up with a cable car (extra) to see the famous Sacrecoeur and the Painters’ square, where you’ll have time for dinner. Your guide will make suggestions.
DAY 2:
After buffet breakfast in the hotel you can have a full day in Paris on your own or join our optional excursion to Versailles and the Louvre museum (extra). First we will see the impressing staterooms of the Versailles Palace of the Sun King Louis the 14th XIV and afterwards we have the opportunity to explore the beautiful market of Versailles with free time for lunch. The famous Louvre museum with its masterpieces will be the next highlight of this day. See the Venus of Milo and the smile of the Mona Lisa during this visit. In the early evening you can join a multi course dinner in a typical cozy French restaurant (extra) followed by a boat cruise on the Seine river (extra).
DAY 3:
After buffet breakfast (included) in the hotel we check out and visit the Eiffel tower. Take the elevator up to the second viewing platform for a panorama of Paris. After time for lunch we will leave for Germany. Early dinner en route. Late evening arrival at points of origin.
